Because the viewing distance of the stage is usually far, it is generally unnecessary to use a dot pitch below P2. A larger dot pitch has little effect on the clarity of the picture, but the close viewing effect of more than P4 may not be so good, so many stage background wall large screens choose these LED display screen specifications.
Generally speaking, the differences between P2.5, P3, and P4 are mainly in terms of pixel points, viewing distance, and price, as follows:
一、Pixels
Due to the different dot pitches, there are certain differences in the pixels of P2.5, P3, and P4. Generally, the smaller the dot pitch, the more pixels there are, and the higher the clarity of the picture display.
For example: the pixel density of P2.5 LED display is 160,000 dots/㎡, the pixel density of P3 LED display is 111,100 dots/m, and the pixel density of P4 LED display is 62,500 dots/m. From the perspective of pixel density, the pixel density of P2.5 model LED display is higher, which means that the displayed picture is clearer among the three, while P4 is a little worse.
二、Viewing distance
Due to the different pixel densities of P2.5, P3 and P4, their appropriate viewing distances are also different.
Small and medium-sized stages: The viewing distance of the front row is not very far, so the requirements for the dot pitch are relatively high. Generally, P2.5 is required to ensure a clear display effect, or P2 and smaller pitch. Its excellent display effect makes the details clearly visible, giving the audience a better visual experience.
Medium and large stages: The viewing distance of the front stage is far, so the dot pitch does not need to be so small, and the large screen can also present a clear display effect. Of course, the gap between P2.5, P3 and P4 is not very large. If you want a better overall display effect, you naturally choose a smaller dot pitch.
Large stage: The overall space area of this type of stage is very large, such as a gymnasium. The viewing distance of the front row is also very far, and the screen size is very large, so the LED display screen with a dot pitch of P4 can generally meet the use requirements.
三、Price difference
There is a certain difference in the price of the three types of LED display screens, P2.5, P3, and P4. Under the same lamp beads, the same manufacturer and the same area, the P2.5 has a higher resolution, so its price is higher; while the P4 has a lower resolution, but its price is also lower. Generally speaking, the larger the dot pitch of the LED display, the lower its price.
