Outdoor LED display screens have the advantages of good stability, low consumption, and wide radiation range. They are the most suitable products for outdoor information dissemination. However, in the long-term use process, outdoor LED display screens will inevitably cause various faults due to pollution, looseness, vibration, heating, ambient temperature changes, etc., which will affect the normal use of LED display screens and even cause serious accidents.
Therefore, regular maintenance of LED display screens is essential. So what is the main daily maintenance of LED display screens?
1、Daily inspection
“Daily inspection” means daily inspection and inspection of relevant display equipment, and timely and safely handle hidden dangers as much as possible. Generally, it includes the following four aspects:
(1) Reinforcement inspection of internal components and steel frame structure: When receiving warnings of natural disasters such as bad weather, it is necessary to check the stability and safety of each component of the screen, especially the various small parts of the steel structure. If there are any problems, they should be handled in time.
In addition, LED display screens are high-power consumption equipment. After running for a considerable period of time, due to multiple starts and stops and operations, the wiring terminals of the power supply part will become loose due to the cold and hot, and the contact will not be firm, forming a virtual connection. In severe cases, it will heat up and even ignite the plastic components next to it.
The signal terminal will also become loose due to the change of ambient temperature, and moisture erosion will cause poor contact, which will lead to equipment failure. Therefore, the connectors of the LED display screen must be tightened regularly. When adjusting the fasteners, the force should be even and appropriate to ensure firmness and effectiveness.
(2) Inspection of lightning protection facilities: Check lightning rods and grounding lines regularly. Test the facilities after a thunderstorm and replace them in time if damaged.
(3) Inspection of the control system of the LED large screen: Regularly check the reliability of the system to ensure its normal operation; all lines and equipment of the large screen should also be checked regularly to avoid accidents.
(4) Inspection of the screen power supply system: First, check whether the line connection in the distribution box is rusted or loose. For safety, the grounding of the power box must be guaranteed to be normal. Check the power line regularly to avoid line damage.
2. Screen cleaning
After the LED screen has been working for a period of time, the visual viewing effect of the display will be affected by the influence of the external environment. At this time, we can visually inspect the LED display screen in both bright and black screen states.
Including: whether the surface of the display screen is contaminated, the purpose is to remove the influence of surface dirt on the luminous characteristics; whether there are damage and cracks on the surface of the display screen; whether the communication and power distribution cable lines are normal; for equipment with high protection levels, although the use of high-reliability components and connectors makes its airtightness a key factor, therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the integrity of the seal; for outdoor screen steel structures, the surface paint and rust should be checked; for outdoor screens with particularly serious surface pollution, the display surface should also be cleaned.
LED display cleaning is a high-altitude operation and requires a professional cleaning team. The cleaning operation adopts a high-altitude rope method (commonly known as Spiderman) or a hanging blue, equipped with professional cleaning equipment, and the cleaning personnel select different cleaning agents according to the different dirt on the screen for targeted cleaning, so as to ensure that the LED display screen is cleaned without damaging the LED lamp tube and mask.
There are two points to note when preparing for cleaning:
- Before cleaning, you need to unplug the power cord.
- The choice of cleaning fluid, which generally includes electrolyte, high-purity distilled water, antistatic fluid, etc., should be selected with good quality to effectively clean the dust and other stains on the LED screen.
Cleaning and maintenance are divided into three steps:
Step 1: Vacuuming. First, vacuum and sweep the dirt and dust on the surface of the display screen mask.
Step 2: Wet cleaning. Note that you cannot spray the cleaning fluid directly on the screen, but spray a small amount of cleaning fluid on the cleaning cloth, and then gently wipe in the same direction. You can also use the soft brush on the vacuum cleaner to brush the lamp tube mask to clean the dirt.
Step 3: Drying. Use a vacuum cleaner to dry the water marks left after wet cleaning to ensure that the display screen mask is clean and dust-free.
